Varietal Blend: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, 14% Petit Verdot, 2% Cabernet Franc,
Case Production: 1,192 cases 

Stunning garnet in color, this seductive blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, is hand picked at the perfect ripeness each vintage from our estate vineyards. Each picking is kept and aged separately in the finest French Oak barrels for up to eighteen months. At this time, the final blend is made and then re-introduced to age in the barrel for another six months to fully integrate the flavors. The 2005 Bradford Meritage opens with inviting aromas of black cherry, cassis, vanilla and allspice that lead to layers of raspberry, cherry, and clove on the palate. The full body is enlivened by rich and elegant tannins and bright acidity making it a perfect complement to your favorite meal.

Delightfully balanced between lush fruit and velvety tannins, our 2005 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is an elegant wine that opens with intriguing aromas of wild blackberries and black currant layered with classic mocha and spice characteristics. On the palate, the dense blackberry is accompanied by cassis, and chocolate, while hints of the signature “Rutherford Dust” linger on the graceful finish. 2004 Sawyer Cellars Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

Our 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon is 100% varietal and was aged for 24 months in the finest French Oak barrels. Blended from a variety of root stocks and clones selected from throughout our 50 acre estate vineyard, this is a complex wine elegantly displaying what a Rutherford grown Cabernet Sauvignon should be. Black currant, blackberry and bing cherry aromas are present on the nose, with additional black cherry, and a hint of mocha present on the palate. The finish is all Rutherford, with soft, delicate tannins providing a smooth, lingering finish. A graceful and refined wine.

Our 2005 Estate Merlot, sourced exclusively from our hand tended vineyard in the esteemed Rutherford Appellation, opens with rich aromas of blackberries intertwined with cinnamon and cocoa. Echoing the vibrant nose, the palate is plush with notes of dark berries and currants, while dark chocolate lingers through the velvety finish. With 24 months of French oak aging, this wine is delicious now and will cellar beautifully for eight to ten years. Enjoy this luscious Merlot with a pork tenderloin with balsamic cranberry sauce or simply grilled lamb chops.

The 2004 Merlot is an exceptionally well-balanced wine, uninterrupted from the aromatic bouquet through to the lingering finish. 2003 Sawyer Cellars Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

Influenced by the lower yields of the 2003 growing season, our 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon displays the depth and intensity that can be drawn from the Rutherford appellation. Aromas of blackberry, cherry and a hint of nutmeg are present on the nose, expanded by additional berry, spice and toasty cedar flavors on the palate. Intricately structured, the tannins are firm on the palate, but well integrated, providing a lingering finish on a wine that is enjoyable now and will continue to age for six to eight years.

The 2003 Bradford Meritage is a classic Bordeaux blend, with aromas of blackberry, boysenberry and a hint of vanilla on the nose. Additional berry, cherry, clove and spice flavors are present on the palate, supported by the firm yet velvety tannins. A touch of mocha and toasty oak on the finish salute a wine that is enjoyable now and will develop nicely for the next five to seven years.

Our 2002 Bradford Meritage is layered with aromas of blackberry and currant with Rutherford Dust overtones and earthy characteristics. The well balanced tannins are full from the first taste, through the finish in the palate and mid-way the body explodes with hints of fresh boysenberry! Each lot was aged in French Oak for an average of 23 months then blended to make our 2002 Bradford Meritage bolder in the mouth but complimentary to food as well. This wine will age wonderfully for the next seven to nine years.

Our 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon embodies all the characteristics of a fine Rutherford grown Cabernet Sauvignon. The intense, opulent color leads way to a radiant nose filled with blackberry, dark cherry, nutmeg and vanilla. On the palate, the dense blackberry is accompanied by luscious extracts of cocoa, black cherry, with hints of cedar box and dusty tannins on the finish. The round and velvety texture provides a long-lingering, smooth finish that is enjoyable now, and will continue to develop for the next seven to eight years.
