I was coming home from work one day and stopped to buy a bottle of wine. It had been a successful day, and I wanted to celebrate.
I selected a 1972 Inglenook Cabernet Sauvignon. I went home to my wife Joanne, and we popped open the bottle. As we swirled and sipped, I said to Joanne, this is the first time I have had great wine.
From then on, my goal was to introduce more people to how delicious a great wine tastes, without spending your whole paycheck. That’s what we’ve created at Sawyer Cellars – delicious yet approachable Napa Valley wines.
